Dr. Manish Subharwal, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Manish Subharwal is having MPhil and PhD degrees in Statistics and more than twenty years of experience in programme development and M&E for social development projects in the field of youth development, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, nutrition, migration, social exclusion, child protection, human trafficking, micro-finance and gender. Dr. Subharwal is a founder director of IMPACT PSD and has been leading it since its formation.

He is an expert in developing programmes and M&E Systems for large scale projects and programs with multiple levels of reporting. He is also an effective facilitator that helps organizations and networks develop their strategic frameworks. He has country experience of working in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), Africa (Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe) and UK. He possesses experience working with projects and programs supported by USAID, DfID and other bilateral donors and implemented by international level NGOs including Restless Development (formerly SPW), CARE, Academy of Education Development (AED) and Management Systems International (MSI).Dr. Subharwal has sound experience in managing projects on maternal and child health, child protection, human trafficking, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS. He has been associated with Integrated Nutrition Health Project (INHP) one of the largest MCH related projects in the country implemented by Care India. He was directly involved in handling an Evaluation Research on Maternal and Infant mortality and nutrition.

At IMPACT, Dr. Subharwal play a key role at multiple stages and involve himself not only in the management of the projects but also in the execution to get in-depth insights. He has played a key role in conceptualizing the web based resource centre on Child Protection and continuously refining and improving it for its optimum use for the service providers in child protection.

He has led every research assignment at IMPACT on different thematic areas for various donors/clients including UN Women, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM/UK)/IDEAS Project, PACF, Tdh Foundation, Save the Children, Railway Children, IMC Worldwide and IPAP & PACS.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a social researcher and monitoring & evaluation specialist having Doctoral and MPhil Degree in Statistics from Agra University. He has a vast experience of more than 20 years in handling large scale evaluations and establishing monitoring systems. He has worked for many key market research organizations like TNS-SRU, GfK-Social, IMRB-SRI and corporate like NIS Sparta, USAID project (SARI/Equity Support Programme) and international organizations (C3India, formerly CEDPA India). Key core areas handled by him are Reproductive and Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Women empowerment, Child Protection, Human Trafficking, Elementary Education, Women’s Literacy, Nutrition, Consumer Affairs, Agriculture,Panchayati Raj, etc.

At IMPACT, Sanjay is in a leadership role and handling operations, administration and execution of the projects. He too involve himself in majority of projects undertaking data collection, data management and documentation. Sanjay is well-versed with statistical data analysis on SPSS and other software.Sanjay has been the lead analyst in several of the large scale quantitative and qualitative researches in the past where he gained hands on experience of managing the evaluations and assessments. He brings in skills of data management to the team.

Sanjay has been involved into research studies funded by UN WOMEN, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), UK/IDEAS project, Positive Action for Children Fund, Save the Children, Tdh Foundation, Railway Children, IMC Worldwide, ChildFund India, Bilt Tree Tech Limited and many more.

Dr. Seema Tiwari, PhD (Social Work) — Research Manager

Dr. Seema Tiwari is having a PhD degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi. She is a UGC NET-JRF qualified and was a Senior Research Fellow at the Delhi School of Social Work, where she served as a faculty for some time. She has been associated with the field of Social Development for past one decade and worked with Action for Ability, Development and Inclusion and Centre for Environment Education in fields of disability rights and environment respectively. She has been a part of core social research teams in quantitative and qualitative research projects related to women’s rights, child rights and protection, education, health and disabilities, some of these projects were funded by WHO-SEARO, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) and Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India. She has also worked as M&E Expert for concurrent monitoring of implementation projects of eighteen organizations including Navjyoti Foundation India, Katha, Deepalaya, Vidya and Child and BalSahyog, financially supported by Essel Foundation.

Dr. Seema Tiwari is also a registered rehabilitation professional under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). She has published and presented a number of papers on issues related to women and child rights.

At IMPACT, she is handling the HIV portfolio and manages the technical assistance projects at Dang Plus (NGO) in Nepal and HEALDS (NGO) in Namakkal (TN) supported by PACF.She was a core team member managing MIS of PMTCT project in Pali and Dungarpur districts of Rajasthan. She being a researcher is also involved in the research studies on child protection funded by for Railway Children and Save the Children India. She is also taking care of managing the Virtual Resource Centre on child protection and human trafficking, funded by Tdh Foundation and HELP.

Mr. Kamlesh Singh MPhil (Anthropology) — Research Manager

Kamlesh Singh is having an M.Phil. degree in Anthropology from Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi. He is a UGC-NET qualified professional with total experience exceeding over a decade. He has worked with Government of NCT of Delhi, various NGOs, Donor Agencies, Research and Consultancy firms, Corporates besides United Nations Women (UN Women) India.

. He has worked in the areas of Community and Social Development, Gender Equality/Gender and Governance and Women Empowerment (Education, Livelihood, Legal, SHG, Nutrition), Health and Research, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Corporate Social Responsibility (Eradication of Extreme Hunger and Poverty), Implementation of Government Welfare Schemes (RSBY and Delhi AnnashreeYojana), Extensive experience of working with and Accreditation/Rating of NGOs, Project/Program Management/Monitoring and Evaluation, Socio-Economic Surveys, Management of Financial/Accounting Procedures and Audits related to Programme/Project.

At IMPACT, he is handling the Health portfolio and managing the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine funded project on “Study onPrivate Sector Maternal Healthcare Providers in UP”.

Mr. Ramya Ranjan Mishra, MPhil (Anthropology) — Research Manager

Ramya Ranjan Mishra is a social development professional having MPhil degree in Anthropology with specialization of Medical Anthropology from Pondicherry Central University and Post Graduate degree from University of Hyderabad. Ramya also holds an MBA degree from Utkal University, Odisha. Ramya has six years of professional experience in Operational Research (OR) including planning, monitoring, evaluation of programmes related to disaster, disability, livelihood, rehabilitation, malaria, leprosy, maternal and child health etc.

In past, he has worked with Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Handicap International (HI), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), National Health Mission (NHM) and Department of Health &Family Welfare, Govt. of Orissa in different health systems research projects. Currently at IMPACT, Ramya is responsible for handling different research projects funded by international and national level donors and coordinating the research at all levels such as conducting In-depth interviews, field supervision for the data quality assurance and data management including data and content analysis and report writing. He has been a key research member for the assignments funded by ChildFund India, Save the Children, Railway Children, etc.

Mr. Farhan Mughees M.A.(Human Rights) — Programme Officer

Farhan is a post-graduate in Human Rights and was awarded graduation degree in social work from JamiaMilliaIslamia, New Delhi. He has also done one year diploma course in International Humanitarian Law from Indian Society of International Law (ISIL). In past, Farhan has volunteered with numerous organizations like Naz Foundation, Breakthrough, Prayas, etc. Prior to IMPACT, Farhan was working with an organization working on vocational training—ETASHA Society. He has actively participated in extra-curricular activities and also in seminars.

At IMPACT, Farhan is responsible for managingprogrammes and coordinate with the team and the donors, implementing and conducting research activities, regular visits to field areas and building contacts base with the stakeholders. His time in the development sector has made him responsible, hardworking, team leader and also has built up the management skills. He is a hard-core traveler and enjoys his work a lot in social and development sector. He has been a key team member undertaking projects funded by Micronutrient Initiative (MI), SDTT, Tata Trusts and ChildFund India.

Mr. Dinesh K Kashyap BCom, LLB—Accounts Officer

Dinesh is a commerce Graduate with vast experience in Finance &Accounts, logistics and inventory management. He has just finished his graduation in Law also. He solely manages the company accounts, statutory audits and coordinates in administration of various tasks at IMAPCT. He manages the accounts and finance for all the projects and coordinate with field staff. His core strengths include experience in logistics management and finance handling.

Ms. Apeaksha Raina MBA (HR & Marketing) — Administration Officer

Apeaksha has a post graduate degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource & Marketing. She has core strengths in managing office administration including HR components. In past, she has gained hands-on experience in managing Human Resource department with leading companies where she has the responsibilities of employee management and office administration. She has also worked as a Business Development Executive with various advertising agencies.

At IMPACT, she is responsible for all the day-to-day organization related practical works and administration related aspects at the office level. This position requires initiative and maturity, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. She is naturally cheerful and capable, adaptable person with good teamwork and interpersonal skills developed in her past employment. She operates with the requisite professionalism and discretion.

Mr. Pankaj Khandelwal, IT and Software Expert

Pankaj Khandelwal has obtained 'B' level course (MCA Degree equivalent) from DOEACC Society which is an autonomous body of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology—Government of India with Head Quarters at New Delhi. The course is in line with technology trends, complying with the requirements of ISO 9001-2000. Pankaj specializes in .NET technology and PHP open source technology platforms and has 5 years of experience in software development, developing mobile applications and ERM/SAP sort of software packages. He is currently developing software for Women Living with HIV for their registration and tracking of the social and health related entitlements from Govt. availing by WLHIVs across the Rajasthan State for RNP+. He has developed software and customized packages for National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) a Govt. of India Enterprise as a Team member. He has worked for IT sector clients like Web based Application development using PHP. Has expertise in LAN based Application development.

Additionally, IMPACT also works with other ITeS experts working in Delhi having expertise in developing customized software with cloud storage.
